I have been involved in the Save Lewisham Hospital campaign for the past year and am proud to have been involved. This broad based non-political grouping has brought out the best in our community, uniting us in what has become a nationally recognised organisation. We took the Secretary of State for Health to court and won!
I think that is well worth celebrating but let's not forget, the law has now been changed and we have to fight on for the whole NHS. "The Lewisham Clause" has been entered into Hansard and the history books.
The Quaggy Quilter Group have produced this celebration of Lewisham's fight for our local Hospital.
