I wasn't born in Lewisham, nor southeast London, not even the UK, but as an immigrant I have lived and worked for 45 years in this area. My husband, also an immigrant, and I have had a good life, our children were born and educated here and they continue to live in southeast London. I think that Lewisham and southeast London get an unfair press - I am one of their keenest defenders. If you had one patch to tell a story, what story would you tell? Help us create a patchwork that captures the richness of our residents' stories and explores what Lewisham means to us all.

A keen defender of Lewisham
